GarageBand Guitar lessons for PC – Play Like a Pro

Step 1: First you need to go to Garageband and when you open it, you can see many projects. In the left side, you can see the option for “Learn to Play”. When you click it, a new screen will appear where different instruments options are given, like Guitar, Piano and so on. If by default guitar is chosen, in the main panel you can see one option – Intro to Guitar. Double click on it.

Step 2: Intro to Guitar allows you to learn about the basic elements like the variations in electric and other guitars, how to tune it, hold it and about chords. This video tutorial also allows you to skip between the chapters and you can control its playback, volume adjustment. Looping, slow play and so on.

Step 3: You can also connect to Mac for having more in-depth learning. For this, you need to click on the Setup option seen on the top right-hand side of the screen. Go to My input device and from its drop down menu, you can select Built-in mic. You can do this only when you are using Mac mini.

Step 5: When you start, tune your guitar. For this, click on Tuner and it will open a new screen where you will see bars on both side of a letter. You have to play the strings and the middle letter will turn to blue. Your high or low notes on the bars are visible on the screen.
